Food Kitchen for Refugees, Homeless, & Hungry
Donation protected
I have been running a food kitchen in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica for the past two weeks. I served 7 meals (4 lunches, 2 dinners, 1 breakfast) to Venezuelan refugees and Ticos (Costa Ricans) who are experiencing food and/or housing insecurity. I have paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars for these groceries out of my own pocket.
This was made more difficult after my passport and wallet were stolen by an American at an Airbnb. Thank you to all of my friends and family who have helped to support me, so that I may continue to help others.
I gave my shoes, backpack, hammock, and blankets to Venezuelan and Colombian refugees passing through. They still have to travel through Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico before they reach the USA.
I would like to continue running my food kitchen for individuals and families suffering from food and housing insecurity in San Jose, where I will be to replace my stolen passport at the U.S. embassy.
