Food Love by Might Be Vegan

Simply put, Food Love by Might Be Vegan is dedicated to helping people (especially Black, Brown, and those living low-income communities) who are experiencing food insecurity, gain direct-to-door access to fresh, healthy plant-based food.

Why?

COVID-19 is disproportionately impacting the health of Black and Latino communities largely due to underlying, diet-related health issues.

These poor diets are the result of generations of racially-biased systemic issues that have led to disproportionate access to healthy, fresh food, and quality healthcare.

Thankfully, not only have diets rich in plant-based foods been proven to improve immune systems, but they also have been shown to reverse many of these diet-related illnesses over time.

The Food Love approach to helping others also limits the number of social interactions required, thereby reducing the risk of exposure for families in need and volunteers there to serve. It also accounts for those not currently being served by food banks because of a lack of transportation or lack of identification.

We currently have brand partners who have committed to donating a certain number of meals at one time OR on a weekly basis. But these in-kind donations are not enough to address the need.

We need your help! Money raised will go to cover food costs with the food processors and food businesses that are already supporting this initiative in the form of food donations, as well as costs associated with maintaining our processes.

You're helping us reach farther... and faster.
