Food Memories for Kids

Join Chef Don Golden of Njord Haven Restaurant in Swampscott, Massachusetts, as he embarks on a heartfelt mission to share the joy of food with orphaned children.

He aims to recreate the cherished food memories many of us hold dear—whether it’s a birthday party, a family gathering, or the simple delight of an ice cream truck in the neighborhood. These are the moments that make childhood special, and every child deserves to experience them.

This March 2025, Chef Don will return to Southeast Asia to visit The Good Shepherd Sisters in Bangkok, Thailand. There, he will host an American-style celebration filled with delicious food and fun, bringing smiles to the children’s faces and love to their hearts.

Your support will create a day these kids will treasure for years to come—a day filled with laughter, surprises and unforgettable memories.

The aim is to gather enough support to visit three orphanages during Chef Don's culinary journey this February and March 2025. Our "Food Memories for Kids" fundraiser has an ultimate goal of $6,000, with $1,000 allocated for food, fun, and entertainment for the children, in addition $1,000 donation to the orphanages' endowment.
