Food Parcels for the elderly & vulnerable
Hi,
It all started after I saw an elderly woman crying in a shop because all the painkillers had sold out as people began panic-buying supplies. “I had a few other shops to go to and managed to get some aspirin for her at a pharmacy. She was so grateful that it was like an epiphany moment. She said there were so many other people in her complex, with no family, in the same position as her, struggling to get what they needed.”
I put a shout-out on Facebook for people in need to contact me. I was soon shopping for dozens of people. A typical package includes tins of beans, tomatoes and mixed veg, along with eggs, bread, long-life milk, a bottle of juice, snacks and toiletries.
To date I have paid out of my own wages to deliver 50 food packages to the elderly and vulnerable. I have also donated tea bags and biscuits to Darenth Valley Hospital. I have delivered much needed toilet paper to a residential home in Parrock Street.
I would like this work to continue and support residents in there time of need. I would like to continue to support the current residents and add more toour list.
Please help me support our most valuable during. this pandemic.
Thank you for reading.
