Food support for families in Takéo, Cambodia
Donation protected
As you will know many developing countries have been hit hard by the challenging effects of Covid-19. Currently, many families are going hungry in the village where I was born in Takéo, Cambodia. Many villagers cannot go to work because the factories have been closed, and the food markets have been shut to halt the spread of the virus. The Cambodian government is trying to provide food and vaccines, but there are still urgent shortages in many areas.
A 50kg sack of rice costs $35 ( £25), five cans of fish cost approximately $2.50 ( £1.80), and 30 packs of noodles cost about $9 ( £6.50).
On 28th July 2021, I will be running a half marathon, solo, for the first time along Southsea Promenade to raise money for food to help families that are going hungry. Ben will be my support crew. If you can donate, I would really appreciate any contribution you can make.
