Football Coach Rare Disease

This funding is on behalf of Coach Michael Robinson whose career has been helping and directing Students and Athletes for over 30 years. Mike was a head football coach in the metroplex for over 20 years, but during his 30-year career, he also served time as an assistant coach, coaching Football/Basketball/Baseball/Track and Field. Mike was the Campus Athletic Coordinator or Athletic Director, and Assistant Coach in the DFW Area for North Mesquite, Wilmer-Hutchins, Lancaster, Dallas Hillcrest, DeSoto, Commerce, Denton, and Gainesville ISD. He was also an educator for these area schools.

Unfortunately, coach Mike Robinson has been stricken with a neurological disease that attacks movements in the nervous system. The disease has all of the traits of Parkinson's Disease, however, this disease is much more severe.

This disease will eventually attack his body functions, and kill brain and nerve cells. The early stages of this disease have caused him to fall multiple times and Mike is now recovering from a broken Femur. Mike will progressively lose his memory and have speech impediments, lose some of his motor functions, and could eventually be confined to his bed.

As you can imagine, Mike is more concerned about the welfare of his family, Mike has already had a 26-day hospital stay. Your financial gift will be used towards past, present, and future hospital bills, home health sessions, follow-up doctors’ visits, outpatient physical therapy, and unforeseen daily expenses.
