Football United charity match
Donation protected
Football United began when tragically three of their friends and family, within the space of three weeks, lost their battle to mental health. United in their grief they decided to raise money for better mental health facilities in Thanet. Just ordinary football parents with one common goal; help prevent anything like this from happening again.
Football United was formed and since August 2019 have raised over £10,000 for local mental health charities. They also have been been an integral part of the planning to open three crisis cafes in Thanet.
Football United are now raising more money for better mental health facilities in Thanet and have planned events over the year within our local community, whose support has been paramount.
Our event is Football United Mums charity tournament. We will raising funds to distribute to various mental health projects solely in Thanet.
The tournament will be played by football mums, will no experience of actually playing the game.. we've sat at the sidelines come sun, wind and rain, week in week out, so this will be an interesting and possibly comical day to come and watch and support us, all to raise money for an amazing cause.
The event will be held at Newington School Fields on May 10th at 11am. We hope the day will be a fun day for everyone, raise money for Mental Health projects and raise awareness of mental health.
