Footprints Running Camps
Donation protected
Footprints Running is an organization dedicated to using outdoor sports to protect wild places. We think your love for the outdoors can be your best means of protecting them, and we help you maximize your ability to take action on environmental issues. Our campers apply by proposing an environmental or social project for their home communities, and we spend the week of the camp developing those projects with a world class staff.
Each day we run in the San Juan mountains of Colorado and then apply our passion for the outdoors to their protection by utilizing each person's best levers. We work with experts in environmental science, public policy, land management, and related fields to provide the best possible support to our students during the camp, and then continue to support students after the camp with resources including mentorship, logistics, and funding for their projects. Our goal is to show the power that individuals have to make a positive difference for their communities.
Your donations can be applied in the following ways:
$50 - most of our donations come at this level or below, and they are applied directly to our operations. That may mean paying for food and lodging for the camp, the gas for daily transportation, office supplies to keep our business running, or contributing to supporting our incredible staff. Every bit counts and we are grateful for anything.
$200/$100 - these amounts are half- and quarter-scholarships, which contribute in meaningful ways to empowering underserved youth to become community leaders.
$400 - this is the full cost of a scholarship, allowing students with less means to attend camp and learn how to help their communities. Often these are the students who can most benefit from the camp and your donation directly helps them reach their goals.
$500 - this amount will go to a post-camp resource fund for our campers. Each camper's project involves fundraising to some degree, and we are building a grant program to be able to assist our campers in getting their projects off the ground.
$1000+ - this amount will allow you to be named as a sponsor of the camp and featured in all promotional materials we create. Donations like this are extraordinary and give us a tremendous hand in achieving our mission of environmental action within the outdoor industry. You will receive a thank-you package and invitations to live events, as well free copies of all publications we produce.
By supporting our efforts, you're contributing to our mission of making the solutions to big problems accessible to everyone. We're publishing all the tools and practices we utilize for free so that anyone can make use of the knowledge and experience we're developing. Together, we're making outdoor sports an example of how to use your passion for purpose.
