For a loving mother, Houa Moua

Hello everyone, my name is May Leigh and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my oldest sister Pa Kou and will go towards cremation expenses for Houa Moua.

 

Many of you may not know who Houa is, but to her 6 children she is a caring and wonderful mother. My siblings and I had the pleasure of getting to know her when my father and Houa got together 14 years ago. Together they gave us 2 younger sisters, Starizon (12) and Sukyra (10).

 

Her journey has not been easy, and unfortunately in April of 2020 she was diagnosed with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer. The doctors began chemo in hopes to help ease her pain and slow the cancer.

 

Due to Houa's diagnosis, my little sisters moved in with my oldest sister, so she could care for them. With Houa's cancer getting more aggressive, she eventually moved in with my oldest sister so she could be with my two little sisters for her last few months.

 

Although we have stayed hopeful, she stopped her chemo in March of 2022 because it was no longer helping her. She has been fighting hard the last 2 years and unfortunately on June 15th, 2022, she was taken to the emergency room after a fall and the doctors gave Houa and my oldest sister bad news. The doctors had given her a few days only … we continue to keep our heads up as we try to make her lasting days comfortable.

 

As I continue to write this with a heavy heart, due to our financial situations, providing funds for her cremation expenses will be hard.
