For Alexis Ramirez
On New Year’s Eve, Alexis Ramirez was on assignment, driving his work vehicle, when he was involved in a crash with another vehicle that entered his lane. Alexis was trapped for 45 minutes before firefighters were able to rescue him. He was taken to JPS hospital in Fort Worth with two broken legs. He’s got a difficult recovery ahead and will require physical therapy.
Those of you who know Alexis are aware of how active he’s used to being. He works full-time for CBS11, stays super involved with his three children, and still manages to pull the occasional all-nighter smoking meat in the backyard. He often jumps at the chance to help friends in need without having to be asked, so it’s no surprise several have asked how they can help him now.
I’ve set up this fund on behalf of Alexis’ family to help them cover whatever expenses will help ease the pain, inconvenience, and boredom of being sidelined for weeks or months by these unexpected injuries.
There’s also a meal train, where you can sign up to take care of the family’s dinner for a night: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/o12954
