Beca's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On May 27th, 2020 a tragic and unexpected medical emergency left Beca Sartori in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Peter’s Hospital, fighting for her life.
Beca has sustained an unknown amount of brain damage after a ruptured tubal pregnancy which led to CPR. She has had multiple surgeries and is minimally responsive with a tracheotomy, feeding tube, and many unknowns ahead.
Due to the COVID outbreak, her devoted husband Nate Sartori has been unable to be with her per hospital policy and has been left with many difficult decisions and obstacles moving forward. Outside of Beca’s medical prognoses and challenges, the inability for Nate to be with her through it all has without a doubt been one of the most devastating aspects of this tragedy.
Moving forward, Beca will be requiring an indefinite amount of medical support in the next few weeks as she is transferred from St. Peter’s ICU in Olympia, Washington, to an intensive specialty care facility. As their home remains in Shelton, Washington, many unknowns are emerging as Nate is faced with potentially having to regularly travel to see her (if he will even be able to due to COVID).
Medical expenses are another major concern for the Sartori’s. The road to recovery for Beca is uncertain along with the financial burden. On behalf of the many people who love and care for Beca and Nate, we are asking for your financial support.
It is not every day you encounter people like Beca and Nate Sartori. The many people who know them would all agree that they are truly some of the most giving, selfless, and loving people who have devoted many aspects of their lives to others. They would never ask for this type of help on their own. Generous with their time and love, they have given so much of themselves to their community in Shelton and beyond. Some of the many examples include their mentoring and leading of multiple local youth groups, traveling annually to build homes in impoverished areas through church missions, other global missions, coaching youth basketball, coaching Special Olympics and working with special needs students at our local high school. They are faithful, loving servants who love God, their family, friends, and community.
Although they would try to tell you otherwise because they are always thinking of others before themselves, the Sartori’s need your help. There is hardly anyone more deserving than Beca and Nate and countless people would assure you that any money given to them will be used respectfully and with integrity. One of Nate’s biggest concerns in receiving donations has been the thought of other people needing the money more, or if they received extra donations, how it could be used to help others instead of themselves. Honestly, he was very reluctant to allow someone to create this platform for his family as he did not feel worthy. Knowing how Nate and Beca’s character are very much alike in this way, if she could, Beca would be expressing concerns about the same things which really speaks to the incredible people they are, and how they are in fact so deserving.
Our hope is that with your donations, Beca will be able to receive the absolute best care possible and that Nate will have one less worry as he focuses on meeting Beca’s many needs moving forward. In addition to your well wishes and prayers, anything you feel comfortable giving will be immensely valuable and greatly appreciated. Humbly, we thank you so much for considering and for your prayers and support for the Sartori’s through this time.
