For Becky and Melanie Makinson

We are raising money to help cover the funeral costs for Becky VanderWall Makinson (pictured left) and medical expenses for Melanie Makinson (pictured right). Our beloved Becky was murdered by her husband Ron Makinson on November 21st, 2020 in their home. Right after, he then attempted to take the life of their daughter Melanie before turning the gun on himself.  Melanie survived by the grace of God and is in the hospital. She is scheduled to go through several surgeries to reconstruct her jaw and remove the bullet fragments lodged in her spine. She is in stable condition, although it will be a long and painful recovery. Luckily, Melanie's brother Andrew Makinson, his wife Angela Pengitore, and best friend Danny Crosley were there in the home when the incident took place and saved Melanie's life by acting quickly and prevented her from loosing too much blood before help arrived. This senseless tragedy has left a lasting scar on the family and any amount donated will help tremendously towards the funeral costs and medical expenses they will have to bear. Becky's funeral will be held on December 5th, 2020. Becky was a kindhearted and fun loving woman full of life and unconditional love for her family. Becky will be remembered for her warm smile, contagious laugh, and for the unbreakable bond she shared with her children.
