INTRODUCTIONS:

Hello and salutations, my name is Jakob Dumas, I am a legendary blademaster and a filmmaker located in Michigan. You may or may not know me either online or in real life, but I welcome you nonetheless. Currently I am enrolled in Oakland University's film program and aim to graduate sometime this year.

Anyway, the film that I am asking for support on is a thesis film for my co-director, who attends the Motion Picture Institute. Our film is an action horror film centered on a group of friends facing off against a Giant Rat-Monster in the middle of the woods, and I would be thrilled and beyond grateful to receive support for its production, and for many other productions that I may have in the future.

SYNOPSIS

For Brendan is a short action-horror film that follows a group of friends seeking bloodlust and revenge after tragically witnessing one of their closest friends being torn apart - limb from bloody limb by a terrifying giant Rat-Monster. Now, armed with clubs, sticks, a firearm, and other rag-tag weapons, they mean to make good on their promise... Below are some demo visuals of our costume design...

My crew and I are very seasoned actors and directors, having been regularly producing short amateur films on YouTube for almost a decade. To prove that we're worth our words, and can indeed produce quality materials, i've decided to put together a reel together showcasing some of our previous work, right here:

WHAT COMES AFTER?

This project was originally just meant to be a thesis film, however, we fully intend to use the main idea and expand it into a feature film project. Upon the completion of this project we will submit our film to festivals all across the world in the hopes of getting our name out there. This is a short film, but will be used as a proof of concept for using the rat-monster idea for a full length film shortly after the festival circuit concludes.

CONCLUSION

For Brendan is an indie action-horror thesis film, that will eventually be transitioned into a full length feature film. For now, it will serve as a proof of concept, but we're putting our all into it, and if all goes to plan it will be our highest quality film to date!
