For Chad Gibsons family and funeral expenses
My name is Julia keffer, I’ve known Chad since he came to uniontown and got clean, so a little over 5 years. I’m making this on behalf of his pregnant girlfriend, Sarah Bourne, to take some stress off of her. His death was unexpected and she was not prepared for all the expenses that come along with a loss like this.
Chad grew up in Charleroi but bounced around place to place often. In his teen years he dabbled with drugs and alcohol. In 2005 Chad joined the army. He traveled to Germany 2006-2009, Iraq 2007-2008 and many other places on his tour. This is when he began drinking heavily. He was Honorably discharged in 2009 and was a proud veteran. When Chad got home, he went down a path of drugs and alcohol. On his destructive path of addiction he had his first son, Sebastian which propelled Chad to get clean.
Chad got clean 6/21/15. The time he spent clean he helped so many people. He dedicated his life to helping the next recovering addict. He’s always been so flighty and spontaneous but that’s what made Chad, Chad. He was a man who loved hard and made you feel special. When Chad walked into a room, you could feel his presence. He was a loving father, son and friend. He found a girl on his clean journey who brought out the best in him and made him want more than jumping from place to place and settled down. Sarah Bourne and Chad got together 9/7/2018. They built a life together and July of 2020 they found out they were expecting a little baby boy. Chad had chronic pain from a past vehicle wreck in Iraq. He denied and denied pain medication until one day a dr prescribed him norco and Chad couldn’t deny it any longer and made the decision to pick up 12/17/2020. He used for the next 4 days and lost the battle 12/22/2020 to a drug overdose. A small donation would help so much. If you can’t donate, we know it’s hard right now, prayers and good vibes are welcome.
