For Daniel & Kirstin in memory of Tommy

Many of you have heard that our family member Kirstin and her husband Daniel recently

suffered the loss of their 20-month-old son, Tommy and many of you have asked what you can

do. Tommy was born with a very serious issue with his heart that required surgery shortly after

he was born and subsequent surgeries after that. As his condition deteriorated, he was put on a

top-priority eligibility list for a heart transplant. For over 100 days, he had been in the hospital

and Kirstin, her husband, and their three year old daughter endured different configurations of

separation from each other. Tommy’s body was not able to wait any longer for a heart and he

passed away peacefully in their arms on July 30, 2023. We are wanting to help this family with

the expenses associated with laying their son to rest, but also to give them an opportunity to

reconnect as a family. We are hoping we can help them with the expenses of seeking out

counseling to process what they have been through in the last two years and to maybe get

away as a family to just focus on each other. Thank you so much for your love and support

during Tommy’s journey but also during this time of heartbreak. We all feel it and are so

thankful.
