For Detective Roberts' Wife, Shawna, & Son, Theo

On Friday, September 27th, my best friend’s husband took his own life. 

I’m sure many of you have seen the story in the news, as he was an Ottawa police officer so these things tend to shake an entire community. 

Thom was a funny, kind, and generous guy who loved his wife, Shawna, and their beautiful little 10-month old boy, Theo. 

As you can imagine, these past few days have been a living nightmare for my sweet Shawna. To see her go through this emotional rollercoaster has been absolutely heartbreaking.

Luckily, little Theo is still an absolute ray of sunshine. 

It’s so sad to think that he won’t remember Thom, but it’s also a small blessing that he’ll have no memories of this tragic time.

Shawna has enough on her plate right now.

If we can take one thing off of it by chipping in what we can to help her get through some of the financial stress, I know she’d be eternally grateful.

In the past I’ve been floored by this city’s generosity in my fundraising efforts. Let’s get together and show Shawna & Theo what we’re capable of as a community.
