Emanuel X. Martinez Memorial & fund for Zayden

E. Xavier Martinez was only 22 years old when he was tragically shot dead, on 01/25/21, by simply being at the wrong place, at the wrong time.  As his older brother, I cannot express the pain it has caused our family.  In a senseless, never ending cycle of violence in the Chicago area, we have lost another innocent young man.

He joins our beloved grandmother, Ninfa Martinez and our dearly loved cousin, Mario Palacios who were both buried just two weeks prior to his passing. We ask fellow family, friends, and community to help with covering the sudden costs of another funeral and to help raise funds for his son Zayden, who just turned 1 in December. All money left over will go into a fund for Zayden to ensure that he is properly taken care of and to make sure he is given a life that my brother was working so hard to give him.


Fund:
All money left after the funeral costs will be mainly for a college fund for Zayden.  I know in my brother's final moments he was only thinking about him. Xavier and I are only 14 months apart so we have always had a deeper connection between us. I truly believe that my brother found peace in his passing knowing that we all could make sure Zayden will be taken care of.
