For Eneyda & Her Family (House Fire)

Early this morning, my aunt’s trailer was caught on fire after a space heater had set fire to my aunt’s daughter’s room trapping her one year old daughter and her seven year old daughter in the room with the fire and heavy smoke. Luckily, my aunt and her eighteen year old son were able to remove the children before the fire grew. Both children were found with severe burns on their hands and chest. One of the children will be needing plastic surgery on her hand due to the third degree burn she endured. Once my aunt and her son were able to remove the two young children out of the house safely, they tried to go back in the burning house to rescue the three month old who was on the opposite side of where the fire originally started. The fire grew worse and worse at the entrance of the house and they were not able to enter the house again leaving the three month old trapped in her room engulfed in smoke. Neighbors were able to break a window in the baby’s room to get rid of some of the smoke inside. The baby was saved by paramedics on the scene. Baby is alive and well. My aunt and all of the children and are currently being treated for their wounds. We aren’t asking for much but some formula for the baby and some clothes for the children.
