End of Life/Funeral Expenses for Ethel Arthur

Donation protected

I hope you'll consider donating even the smallest amount to help pay for the funeral expenses of Ethel Arthur.  She was a lifelong Christian, a wife of 67 years, a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and so much more.  I hope you'll read on...

As I sit here thinking about the past 24 hours of Ethels time on this earth, I feel the need to share a little of who and how special she was in her 91 years on this earth.  She spent her entire life completely dedicated to walking the path of Christ and helping others. She married my Grandfather, Lonnie Arthur on Feb 8, 1947 and raised 3 amazing children.  She cared for Lonnie up until his very last days in May 2014, her in her 80's and he in the final stages of Alzheimers.  We truly thought she would follow him home shortly after he left us, but man she surprised us all! She was a widow for nearly 6 years now lived on her own until her heart and kidneys started failing her these last 6 months.  I know was anxious to see my Grandfather again and this morning at 5:50 am she was reunited with him in heaven.  This is them on their wedding day. What a beautiful couple ❤️

Their 67 years of marriage was spent ministering to the needy, feeding the hungry, giving rides to those without transportation, helping with Church services and spreading the word of God. They truly lived to help those that needed more than themselves. Both had beautiful voices and would sing the praises of the Lord for others to hear. My loving Grandmother taught me what it means to be humble, kind and full of grace. She raised me to be God fearing with a soft heart.  She was a strong and proud woman. To know Ethel is to love her and truly know her love of God.

Ethel bought and paid for several small insurance policies through the years.  She believed she had enough money saved to pay for her burial and maybe leave a little to her children when the Lord calls her home but with sky rocketing costs of funerals today, she is $1800 short of just the most simple burial.

Our family is reaching out for help for their Mother and Grandmother to raise the funds to make up the difference of her funeral and memorial costs.  She dedicated her entire life to helping others and now we need to help her.

Thank you for your time and generosity. May the Lord bless you.  I love you Grandma.

Sherri,
Her first born Granddaughter
