Funeral for Hailu Ghebre

My name is Sammy Alemseghed. I'm fundraising for Hailu's funeral

The late Mr. Hailu Ghebre was born on July 14, 1951 in Arbaete Asmara Zoba Maeakel. His father is Azmach Ghebre Beraki, and his mother is Mrs. AynaAlem Mana.

He completed his Elementary and middle school at the Agaezian school in the city of Asmara. After his

completion, he transferred to Red Sea secondary school, known as Haileslasie secondary school.

Hailu had a chance to pursue his higher education abroad after completing high school. He was

awarded a scholarship to study in MICHIGAN state at Owasso university in the USA in 1975.

He completed his 4 years of study and graduated from the same university. Afterward he

stayed and worked in the corporation known as K-mart for many years in Michigan.

Hailu moved to New York City in 1987 to start a new life. In 1989 he began work at the BROADWAY

HOUSING CORPORATION until his last days. Hailu was well known for his admirable discipline and his

dedication to all the endeavors in his life. Hailu was a kind-hearted soul who was loved by all people

both in his workplace and outside of it. Hailu left a great impression on his bosses with his love of work,

organization, and neatness.

Hailu also worked tirelessly for his Eritrean community in the tri-state area. Hailu contributed a great

deal of his time and resources to his country during the struggle for independence and after

independence without any reservation. Hailu will be remembered by all the people of his country for his

volunteer work for many years, rarely ever taking a break. He especially will be remembered during the

community events, as he was always the main organizer and first in line up to work.

Hailu is greatly admired and is dearly loved by his siblings as well as blessed by his Parents.
