For Georgie & Harper
Donation protected

Last week, our dear friend Georgina sadly lost her brave and beautiful daughter Harper to Dyskeratosis Congenita; A rare and life-limiting disease which we prayed would find a cure in Harpers lifetime. Diagnosed age 2, at just 7 years old, Harper passed away at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Alongside being an incredible mummy, Georgina had to give up her job and became Harpers sole carer for 5 years. This included twice weekly hospital visits for life-saving platelet treatments, regular blood transfusions, administering daily medicines, multiple eye surgery’s, fighting for Harpers right to education, lengthy hospital stays and making decisions that no parent should ever have to make. Georgina devoted her life to making sure Harper was safe and as comfortable as possible. And now her friends would like to return the favour.
Over the years, Georgina and her family raised over £10,000 for Team Telomere! A charity desperately trying to find a cure for telomere disorders, including Harpers diagnosis. Cake sales, quiz nights and fundraisers - Georgina was determined to spread awareness wherever possible and we have no doubt that she will continue to do so in Harpers memory, but for now, we would be grateful for any donation to help Georgina with aftercare and funeral arrangements.
As Georgina deals with the grief of losing Harper, we would love to provide some financial help to ease her worries of keeping the home she raised Harper in during her short time on earth and keep her memories alive and provide her with as much time as possible to heal.
It’s our turn to care for Georgie and we all feel so helpless, but we hope this will provide some comfort as she adjusts to life over the coming months. Please share far and wide and keep both Georgina and Harper in your thoughts.
