For Harrison & Victoria in the toughest of times x

This page has been created for Harrison and Victoria. With the following words written by a friend, and echoed by their family, friends, work colleagues, and those that wish to help.
Imagine your eight-year-old son - the most precious person to you on the planet - falls ill, is immediately hospitalised, has 8-litres of fluid drained from his lung, has multiple blot clots develop in both legs, and is diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, with at least a three-year plan laid out of treatment and chemotherapy.
This is exactly what happened to Victoria, whose beloved son, Harrison, suddenly fell ill in November 2022 and was admitted to hospital.
Since then, Victoria and Harrison have spent the majority of their time at hospitals - Kings College Hospital for general treatment, and the Royal Marsden for multiple blocks of chemotherapy. Harrison's treatment is intensive, and will be until at least the summer of 2023.
For Harrison who has endured the past four months of treatment and hasn't attended school since being admitted to hospital, and Victoria who hasn't been able to work since (at the same school - given that 100% of her time is devoted to caring for Harrison), as a community we want to come together to show that we are thinking of Harrison and Victoria. We want to raise funds for them through this extremely difficult time to help ends meet.
For those that are aware, and can make it, we'll be holding an in-person event at Harrison and Victoria's school - Friday 21st April to raise money for them (evening, adults only - please join us). For those that cannot make this event, and anyone associated with Harrison and Victoria (and beyond), who want to support via this Go Fund Me page, your generosity is greatly appreciated.
As a solo parent to Harrison, Victoria has not once complained about the situation she finds herself and her adorable son in. She had no intention of seeking help, but the people around her want to. So if we as a community, can come together and help with the financial burden of Victoria not being able to work, then that's the least we can do, given the awful disease that Harrison is fighting with the strength of his mum beside him day and night.
We sincerely hope that in time Harrison can overcome this horrific disease, and can once again be with his friends at school. And for Victoria, your strength, character, determination and resilience to hold it together over the past four months is commendable. As a parent you have focussed 100% of your time on Harrison, and will continue to do so for many years ahead. So let us help you, via this page.
Thank you in advance. I know how much your support will mean to Harrison and Victoria.
Love your family, friends, work colleagues, and those that wish to help xx

Wow. What an incredible response to the page - thank you for your donations and words of support for Victoria and Harrison so far.
Victoria and Harrison continue to be in and out of hospital - we are sending our best wishes to you Harrison.

Update as of 11th May 2023.
Thanks to all that attended the event at Clare House Primary School on 21st April with me (Dan) and our band providing some live entertainment :-). Your incredible support helped raise funds for Harrison and Victoria. Poor Harrison was at The Marsden Hospital a couple of weeks ago for his regular Chemo, but also had to have a blood transfusion. It's hard to comprehend the daily struggles that Harrison and Victoria are going through, physically but also mentally and emotionally. But the financial support from everyone means that they can focus the most important thing - battling this awful disease. The togetherness to help from local Beckenham colleagues/parents/residents, and those that have no connection to Harrison and Victoria is remarkable. I don't have the words to express how I feel in response to this page, let alone how Victoria feels. But it makes you appreciate life to the maximum - thank you. xx
Update as of 21st July 2023.
As the school academic year draws to a close today, I wanted to reflect on the past 8-months.
We want to thank one of Harrison's fellow Clare House pupils, Kubrick, from year 6. He was inspired by Harrison's story, so he set upon raising even more money for Harrison and Victoria. Kubrick chose to have a sponsored hair cut! Cutting his long hair short! This added an incredible £770 to this Go Fund Me page, and Harrison and Victoria are truly grateful for this selfless act of kindness. Thank you, Kubrick.
What a challenging year this has been for Harrison. For now, school will have to wait, and let’s hope for better times ahead.
One thing my late Nan always told me is, “health is wealth”. So let’s all be thankful for the healthy days we have, and pray for Harrison and others who might also be going through challenging times. Victoria, as always, your social media posts bring a tear to my eye, and you, like Harrison, are superheroes in our eyes. Stay strong. Dan, and all your friends and family x
