For Hector Grajales, We'll See You Again Dad
Donation protected
On August 26, 2024, at 12:50pm, my amazing, strong, loving father, Hector Grajales, passed away peacefully at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Hospital. His passing has left his wife, Mercy Grajales, daughters Claudia, Alexandria and son Christian, devastated. No matter how much a person may try to prepare for something like this, it hurts in a way a person could never imagine. It has left us distraught and heartbroken beyond words.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY in 1952, Hector had a knack for getting into mischievous adventures throughout his childhood and young adult years, usually resulting in a bruise or ten. Along the way he made many friends, being the oldest of the Grajales children, he had a good influence over them and was respected and loved dearly by all. As he got older, he bore his children who he worked hard to provide for and give them everything they could want or need, not necessarily in material items, but intangibly, in a way a strong, loving, genuine, brave, wholesome and caring father does. He also provided the perfect example of a marriage in how he loved his wife, Mercy, who in turn loved him back fiercely and helped him through his ailments and stood by his side until he took his last breath. In his free time during moments of good health, he delivered meals to the elderly and volunteered at his local community garden.
The passing of my father has left his family unprepared for the cost associated with funeral and end of life costs. It is with a heavy heart that we reach out for donations to help navigate through this difficult time. All funds received will go towards my father's funeral expenses including the viewing and cremation. No donation is too small, please only give what you feel you can give.
The wake will be held at Borinquen Memorial Funeral Home in Brooklyn NY on Friday August 30th, 2024 from 4pm-8pm.
