For Jaden Jones, Baby Joshua & Family

Jaden is the kind of friend that you can go days and weeks without talking to, and pick up right where you left off. She's the kind of sister that can make you laugh until you cry and shes the kind of person that sees the good in everyone and everything. As a community, we are heartbroken and torn to see Jaden and her first son go through this. Our families grew up together in Exeter and attended school together. We have been friends ever since--from sleepovers to creating a unofficial neighborhood cheerleading team to sneaking out of the house--we've truly done it all.
Jaden was admitted to Exeter Hospital on Thanksgiving with a fever and chest pain due to the Covid-19 virus. At 35 weeks pregnant with baby Joshua she was induced on the 27th of November. Jaden was put under full anesthesia for her emergency birth and had yet to meet her precious baby boy.Joshua was airflighted to Mass General hospital where he tested negative for Covid-19 and is perfectly healthy. He traveled his way back to Exeter hospital on 11/29 to spend some time with Mom. Only a few short hours later, doctors realized Jaden was far too sick to stay in the family center and was admitted back into the ICU for breathing support. On 12/2, she returned to the family center and by 12/4 the breathing problems returned. By 12/5 she woke up early in excruciating pain. After much deliberation, doctors decided to do a cat scan. The surgeon immediately noticed something was wrong but couldn’t be sure until he brought her back to the operating table. This is when they found an intestinal ulcer that caused a perforated bowel. After opening her for the second time in only 2 weeks the doctors decided not to wake her after surgery and have kept her heavily sedated and on and 100% on a ventilator. The doctors have tried to ween her off the vent but her lungs are still very weak.
We ask that you please share this to help Jaden, Baby Joshua and their family with medical expenses, bills, and baby supplies. Jill, Jaden’s mother, has taken over full care of the baby while Jaden is in recovery. Please keep Jaden and our family in your prayers. ❤️
