For Jeremy Hale
On July 31st, our beloved father, son, brother, friend and husband Jeremy Hale passed away with his wife by his side. This loss was sudden and unexpected, to say the least. Jeremy was the most positive, uplifting character anybody could ever know. He filled his days with constant love and a passion for absolutely everything he did. Riding his bike up rocky hills, building an entire deck from scratch (for fun), or even just watching TV at home surrounded by his kids and drinking his daily morning coffee with his wife – he was always invested 110%. Jeremy had the biggest heart and was always doing anything he could for everybody else, no questions asked, simply because he wanted to help. He was and will continue to be so, so loved by so many.
The Hale family is kindly asking for donations in order to help cover heavy hospital and funeral costs. If you don’t wish to donate, but still want to know how you can help, all we ask is for you to live life with the same passion and positivity Jeremy maintained. Remind those around you that you appreciate them, as Jeremy never let a moment pass without making sure those around him felt loved. The friends and family of Jeremy Hale will forever live on carrying his light in their hearts.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12 noon Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th Street in Rochelle.
“Jeremy grew up in the Rochelle area. He was skilled in carpentry which led him to a position at NIU where he had been for the last 13 years. He had a passion for building and fixing anything. Another passion has been cycling. He’s known for riding to/from home to work on his bike, the farther the better. In the last few years, he started participating in long distance cycling races. He dedicated hours to training and worked so hard for each race. He lived each day to the fullest, never taking anything for granted. His best times, though, were always time spent with his wife and kids, especially activities outside: hiking, biking, sledding, skiing, fishing or inside watching movies together. Being all together made his heart whole. Because of his kindness and energy, he had so many long lasting and tight friendships that he genuinely treasured. He will forever be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Jeremy is survived by his wife, Kelli; he was the amazing father and step-father to Ainsley and Linley Hale and Taylor, Madison, and Xander Lindquist; parents, Carl and Carol Hale; siblings Brad Hale, Lisa Mcghee, and Tina Garner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Karen Brown; brother-in-law, Justin (Amber) Brown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.“
This will never feel right. We all love and miss you so much, Jeremy. Thank you for everything.
