For Jim "Mookie Barker" Myers Medical Expenses

Jim has been hospitalized for most of the summer, fighting pneumonia, which was complicated by emphysema. He is also struggling with other chronic physical and mental health issues, and has lost an alarming amount of weight. Between the hospital stays, ER visits, and the care facility where he currently resides, Jim and his wife are looking at mounting medical bills. There is no insurance for the care facility, and we do not know how long he’ll need to be there so it is difficult to plan beyond the next few months. Jim's wife Joann is working hard to make ends meet at home and hold it all together.

If you know Jim, you know he has always been about helping people, his friends, his family, everybody. He’s the kind of guy you know will always be there for you, to listen, to make you laugh, and to help you through whatever is happening to you. Right now, Jim really needs your help, love and support. Through all of this, Jim has never lost his sense of humor, joking with the nurses, making the other patients laugh, still true to his nature, even during his darkest days.

This is a great time for all of us, family, friends and fans of Mookie/Jim to gather around him and do what we can to make sure he gets the care that he needs.
