Support Jimmy’s recovery after a serious accident

On Thursday morning, April 10th at 7AM, Jimmy was on his way to work at Ernie’s Excavation when a Poland Spring truck unexpectedly crossed into his lane. In trying to avoid a direct collision, Jimmy struck the side of the truck and was seriously injured.

He suffered a broken right femur that required immediate surgery to place a titanium rod and screws. He also has significant ligament damage in his knee, with a second surgery scheduled for Monday, April 14. Doctors estimate a recovery period of at least a year before he’ll be fully mobile and able to return to work.

Jimmy is the kind of person who shows up—at work, for his family, for his friends. He’s a loving partner to Heather, a devoted dad to their girls, and someone whose days are filled with hard work, quiet strength, and a deep love for the people (and reptiles!) around him.

This morning when spending time with Jimmy at the hospital, Heather asked him what he loves most about being a dad and husband. Without hesitation he replied, "I love sharing family adventures and have had a lot of fun with the kids over the years."

This accident has turned life upside down for Jimmy and his family. With such a long recovery ahead, the financial impact is real and immediate. The loss of income, combined with ongoing medical expenses, has created a heavy burden.
