For Journee and the lost of her mother NicoleRay
Doação protegida
On Tuesday, February 19, 2019, my life and the lives of my family changed forever. I received that call. The call that takes all of the air out of you. The call that my daughter was in a tragic accident.
NicoleRay Brown, my daughter, was in a horrific car accident. Her daughter, my precious grandbaby, was in the car too. My family needed me, and I was across the country in Texas. I rushed to get to Wisconsin, to be with my family. Meanwhile, photos of the horrific car accident were all over the media. I just needed to be with my babies. Both my daughter and granddaughter were in the hospital, fighting for their lives.
That car accident took NicoleRay Brown’s life. After days and nights surrounded by tubes and wires in the the hospital; Our family and friends praying for different results and outcome. There was still no signs of any life that exist in my vibrant 21 year old daughter. Now I have to bury my baby, something no mother should ever do. And I must tend to the serious medical needs of her 5 month-old daughter, Journee, who no longer has any parents to grow up with and love.
I want you to know more about my daughter, who was a proud mom and a caregiver. NicoleRay was a nurturing soul, who worked as a Patient Care Assistant for the last three years at Care First. She treated her work like a service to the facility residents, she would say “This is not my job – I work where you live.” Her kindness and spirit extended to the whole family too. She loved elderly people, and all babies. Her niece held a special place in her heart. She cherished Ruby, her dog, like another child, celebrating each birthday with a dog food “cake” and candles. Watching NicoleRay become a mom just 5 months ago, was one of my proudest moments. The way she took care of Journee, my grandbaby, made me smile uncontrollably. She would dress her up each day in a new outfit, taking photos and sharing them.
Now Journee is in a bad way. She was ejected from the car during the accident. The car was going so, so fast. She was crying. She is seriously injured, and will require ongoing medical care. She will struggle for a long time with a cracked skull, internal bleeding, and pressure behind her eyes. She needs medical attention so she can have a chance at life after this horrible tragedy. That is why I am asking for your help. To give my precious Journee a chance. Medical bills are mounting, and will continue well into the future. She is only 5 months old.
I am asking for anything you can give. Everything helps, a little or a lot. Funds will go directly to Journee’s care. Help me help Journee, it’s what I need to hold on.
