For Karen's Stage 4 Cancer Diagnosis
Donation protected
My name is Karen, I’m 47 years old, living in North London. I am single mum with two non-dependent children. I have been diagnosed with stage 4 SNUC cancer (Sinonasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma). It is a vary rare tumour which is aggressive.
What I thought was two simple operations to remove a polyp turned into the most devastating news of my life in relation to my health, my spirit, and my finances.
Since my cancer diagnosis, I have already undergone two chemotherapy cycles and I have a further cycle on the 8th May. This will be followed by radiotherapy/proton beam for 5-7 weeks every day and chemotherapy once a week.
My employer's support has been great and provided income protection cover and excellent cover via Bupa. Due to my decision to access treatment as quickly as I can I am however facing additional unknown costs.
I’ve not been able to wait for the NHS for treatment due to the aggressive nature of my tumour. I am so very lucky to have Bupa cover with work.
I have no idea what the future holds, so any amount donated will be a blessing. If you can’t help financially, a simple prayer would also be a blessing.
My heart is glowing at the number of people who have reached out to me asking to help in any way possible. Thank you all for your support. Much love and let's pray I beat this cancer ♥️
