For Ken’s Family - Susan and kids Lilah & Kallum

My dear friend, Susan, has lost her beloved husband, Kenneth Mitchell, to ALS.

Ken loved his work and cherished his friends — so many of whom he’d been close with since childhood — but he lived for Susan and their children, Lilah and Kallum, who truly owned his heart. This Go Fund Me is for them.

ALS is a horrible disease, and the costs associated with treatments and required caregivers are truly astronomical. But even as their personal debt continued to grow, Ken and Susan chose to see the inevitability of Ken’s death as bringing with it many beautiful blessings. Since Ken’s diagnosis five and a half years ago, the family has been hell-bent on cherishing their fleeting time together, creating new incredible memories along the way.

Our beloved Ken is gone now. And as Susan and the kids begin to grieve the immeasurable loss of the husband and father they adored, the funds raised here will help alleviate some of the stress associated with the significant financial strain.

Ken was loved by so many. And for those of us who were lucky enough to be in his orbit, he was always a pillar of strength. Now it’s our turn to be there for him by supporting the beautiful family he’s left behind.
