For Kirsty & Shirley ~ because we all care ❤️

 Nobody knows what’s around the corner for Any of us..    This is especially true for parents who have a child with Down syndrome..     

I’d like to introduce to you an amazing lady  Shirley & her  beautiful Daughter Kirtsy..  (Kirsty Louise Tilsney  born 25.2.1988)  
Shirley is one of the most strongest & Bravest women I know..    dealing daily with the prospect of the unimaginable..   losing a child.    

I have set up this go fund me page with Shirleys consent..  to Try & help ease an financial worry for the family at this heartbreaking time...    Shirley has had amazing support from her friends on Facebook especially from the members of the group - future of Downs.. where she has been updating everyone on Kirsty’s progress ...  with lots of people wanting to show they care & offering words of love & comfort...     There are so many wonderful things she wants to do with Kirsty it this precious time they have together....  & with our help we can help make this happen...

  in Shirleys own words,  an insight to life with kirsty

As she has got older and fought so many battles, her body has took a beating. Now after discussing with very dedicated doctors who look after Kirsty, a decision was made to give Kirsty comfort care, this is because no surgery is going to help prolong Kirsty life. Kirsty now has a DNR, this is the hardest decision I have ever made because she is my life, putting the end of life care plan is soul destroying. After this last emergency I realised I was been selfish, the fear in her eyes and the screams of pain were horrible I can't do that to her again. So now as long as Kirsty comfortable and not in pain, but first and foremost she happy, I want smiles from her, laughter from her. She is one remarkable young woman, her heart is full of love. She adores her little sister, her face lights up when she sees her, but is always quick to remind her she the eldest. She loves to say "hey I have downs syndrome, baby I was born this way, get over it",. She has taught me so much and continues to, I wish I had her outlook, because her world is amazing. We laugh, shout, sing and cry together, her hugs and love are amazing. 4 words make everything OK "I love you mammy"  

Care:  
Kirsty requires around the clock 2 to 1 care, (funding a different matter) I am the buy one get one free lol, she has 24 hour oxygen, bi pap, airvo2, cough assist, suction, nebulized antibiotics, but it not about curing her these keep her comfortable. Guess you would say my comfort blanket, at least I feel I am doing something xx
