For Love and For Life - Breast Cancer Medical Fees
Donation protected
My family relocated to Florida seeking safety and a better life. Shortly after our arrival my diagnosis of breast cancer with metastasis to several lymph nodes was confirmed. While we do have income, we do not health care. To add to the seriousness of our situation, I am about 10 weeks pregnant.
We were given two options:
1. A most affordable treatment in which I couldn’t continue with the pregnancy, because the targeted medicine is very effective for the cancer but very dangerous for the baby, meaning that I would have to abort if I take that option.
2. The other option is to have surgery first (mastectomy and lymph node removal) followed by chemotherapy that won’t have high risk on the baby so I can keep the pregnancy, but this is the most expensive option.
Due to our principles and respect for life we need to take the second option.
We desperately need to raise a significant amount of money starting with $10.000 by the last week of June to do the surgery and even more, estimated around $65,000, to pay for chemotherapy and other expenses.
Our situation is urgent.
