For Matt, Alexa and Baby Girl Ruby Jack Hill
Donation protected
On November 10, 2019 Alexa Hill was scheduled to undergo a typical 39week3day induction at Piedmont Athens Regional. She came down with some sort of sickness starting the Tuesday before (5th) and it progressively got worse day by day. By Saturday, she had been to her PCP and an urgent care doctor that diagnosed her with early flu, and a double ear infection. She called Dr Goggin and he said to go ahead with the scheduled induction Sunday night. By Sunday, she had not slept for 3 days, and was hardly unable to get out of the bed. When she and her husband arrived at PARMC, they hooked her up to monitor her vitals and baby's vitals go begin the induction process. Within minutes of being on a machine, with every contraction Ruby's heart rate was dropping and she was going into distress so Dr G decided she needed an emergency C-Section under complete anesthesia right away. As soon as the baby was born, the NICU started working on baby, and the other doctors started working on mom. Alexa was diagnosed with Acute Fatty Liver Syndrome which occurs in 1 out of 120,000 pregnant women, in which 9 out of 10 women do not make it as the symptoms are undetectable. Ruby was rushed to Gwinnett Medical where she is currently still critical condition with a long road ahead of her. Alexa is stable and slowly improving. They both need our prayers. Alexa and Matt will both be out of work without pay, and paying for gas, possibly lodging, and food to go back and forth between Athens, Gwinnett, and Danielsville in order to take care of their baby and their home, and one another. Any and all donations are appreciated. And if you don't have to give, then please just lift them up in prayers as that is what is so desperately needed right now. Thank you in advance, and God Bless.
