!!!! UPDATE !!!!

Hey everyone! Mikayla here! It has been almost nine months since I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. April 5, 2022, to be exact. As many of you know, I have officially been deemed CANCER FREE!! Praise the Lord! Although my treatment has ended, there is still a financial burden on my family and me. About one month ago, I went through IVF (in vitro fertilization) egg freezing to allow me to have children in the future. Unfortunately, IVF is not covered; we will pay 100% of the costs. Any financial support will go to medical expenses, IVF treatment, transportation costs to and from the hospital, and any other unexpected expenses that come along the way.

Thank you for supporting this unexpected journey with my family and me! We are beyond grateful for all the prayers and support through this. We continue to believe that God has and is providing every step of the way!

Hi, my name is Lizzie Brim and Mikayla is my big sister.

 

As some of you know, Mikayla was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We are unsure of how far along it has progressed, but she will be in the hospital for treatment for at least a month, odds are longer. As shocking as this was to the entire family, we are trusting God through this process. If you know Mikayla, then you know she is a fighter. Our priority is to keep her as comfortable as possible after visiting hours end and we think this page would help us out a bunch in making that happen!

 

This journey is still in the beginning stages, and there are a lot of unknowns in this process. Therefore, any financial support will go directly to things such as hospital bills, transportation costs, meals for the family, keeping Mikayla comfortable, and helping the family financially through this time.
