For My Dad, & My Best Friend
Donation protected
Hello. There is no easy way to say this, so I am going to keep this as brief as possible. My name is Philip Randazzo and I am 20 years old. On July 19th, 2023, at 10:10 p.m, my dad suddenly passed away at 50 years old.
My father was not just my father, he was my best friend. He did everything for me emotionally and financially. I am absolutely heartbroken, confused, and scared. I haven’t really had time to process what has happened, and I cannot start my grieving process until my father is at peace & my family is ready to start moving forward.
Unfortunately, the funeral expenses are far out of my price range. As a college student at Boston University with two jobs to cover my tuition and being his only child, I am dreading the following few weeks. I want to hold a wake for my father and then a cremation, which totals to $4980. I am also working on an obituary for the paper, which could go up to $500. As well, I want to make prayer cards.
My father had a rough childhood and battled demons for a very long time. He grew up in the foster care system with his siblings, and an extended family. His two mothers are devastated. I am devastated. As a close-knit family, we need this closure.
Please, family and friends, donate anything you possibly can. Even a dollar helps. And if you can’t afford to, that’s alright, just please reshare this. My family needs this. This is the most difficult time in a lot of my family member’s lives, and I feel it is up to me to ensure that my father is treated with the care he deserves.
God bless you all. I love you all so very much, and anyone that knew my dad knows that he was the most loving, gentle soul on earth. He never let anyone go without, and I do not want him to go without either.
All expenses will go to my father and celebrating his life.
