My name is Belinda Henson, I am the wife of Evangelist Nathaniel Henson, aka (Butch as he is affectionately known) he had a cough  a  few months ago. He was told the cough he has was due to the blood pressure medication that he was on for a few years. The Dr. changed the medication and  advised him that the coughing side affect could take a few months to dissipate. We waited, and he still had a disturbing cough with difficulty breathing,  that did not go away.  He went for a chest x-ray on January 17th, 2021, initially he was told he had bronchitis, or walking pneumonia;  then, he was told, he has  bacteria pneumonia. After being treated with antibiotics which did not help the breathing, he developed another issue and had difficulty walking. I Took him to the emergency room  at Jefferson hospital, February 22, 2021   where they  did MRI scans  and found he had blood clots in his legs,  thigh, and lungs. When they operated on him  February 24th, they found it was not pneumonia but stage four  lung cancer. This has been a tremendous shock for us. He has always been health conscious, has taken good care of himself, exercise regularly and insist on a healthy diet. This is a shock for all his family, and friends, and who ever knows him. With this illness, Nathaniel/Butch is no longer able to work.  The extreme expense of cancer medicine and care is a tremendous financial hardship for us, and we ask for your financial assistance in the very stressful and grievous time.
