For our beautiful mum who is going through terminal cancer

Hello everyone,

Our beautiful loving mum Tanya Huckstep is currently going through a diagnosis of terminal cancer. Unfortunately June 2021 she first got diagnosed with breast cancer which had also gone to the lymph nodes. She had a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy in hope to cure. Luckily it did its job and she went a few months with living her life, hair growing back and becoming like our old mum again. Unfortunately 6 months after all treatment finished on 23rd December 2022 she got told it had gone to the other breast and would also need another mastectomy even though she had been complaining of pain etc and just got ignored!! Ever since then, it feels like it’s been never ending… it has since then spread to her lymph nodes between the breast bone, the liver, the bones and now unfortunately her lungs. Our poor mum has been through nearly every treatment they can offer and now only has 2 options left which they are not very hopeful for, in their words ‘you have a very clever cancer, we don’t know what more we can offer’ and about 6 months ago we got told her life expectancy was 12-15 months but this was before the lung cancer and is now getting worse

Every week and every day is so different for mum, she’s struggling to breath especially when walking, she’s coughing badly which is hurting her lungs and the pain in her lungs has become so so bad that she has now been put on morphine and under a hospice.

Mum has had to recently Medically retire from her job she has worked at since she was 16 caring for others and now it’s our time to care for her ❤️

We are hoping to make some very special surprises for our beautiful mum to enjoy all the time she has left. We didn’t think we would have to do anything like this but if I could give mum the world I would do it in a heartbeat. We all want to enjoy our time we have left with her by making memories with us 3 girls (her daughters), her partner, her family, friends and of course her 3 grandchildren.

I don’t like to seem like I’m asking for money but any contributions will mean so so much so we can give the surprises to mum that she deserves! Any money left over will be going towards mum to help with anything else she may need in the weeks ahead. For everyone who knows my mum will know she is the most outgoing person, always so positive and will do absolutely anything she can for anyone, she really is the most amazing women I think I would ever meet. I’ve never known anyone like her, still trying her absolutely hardest to stay positive in what is the worst time of our lives
