For Our Mother, Angelica.

Hello everyone, as you may know, Our Mother left this Earth on 5/27/22. There are no words to describe the great loss that we all feel. If you knew my mother, you would understand why. My mom was the embodiment of kindness. She had the true heart of a mother. She always made sure that everyone was taken care of, even when she had nothing. She would share her nothing with you.
Life was never kind to my mother. As a child, she contracted polio and had to endure countless procedures and surgeries on her leg that left her short in stature and needing to rely on a leg brace to get around. But she was a survivor with an iron will and a stubbornness that never let anything stand in her way.
She was the most wonderful mother to us, her four children, the youngest two, a pair of twin boys that were born prematurely and would later be diagnosed with nonverbal autism. We lost our youngest brother, Danny almost 12 years ago at the young age of 16. She loved us fiercely and had the patience of a saint. She cared for and supported her 28 year old son Oscar, until the very end.
Mom was recently widowed in December after 30 years of being a wonderful, devoted wife to the love of her life, my dad. Three months after his passing mom was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. We lost her much too soon just two months later. Through all of these hardships, her heart remained warm and hopeful. She remained kind, just as always.
She was one of a kind and such a beautiful light. The world will never shine as brightly now that she is gone. Her final act of kindness was to help restore the sight of two people somewhere in the world. The last thing she ever did was give, just as she always had. She was tiny, mighty, and beautiful. Please help us honor her in the way that she deserves.
Our family needs funding and we're asking you to please consider donating to help with mom's services and to help ensure that Oscar is taken care of now that she's gone. We greatly appreciate any donations that can be made, even if you think it's small, everything is helpful.
