For Ryu

Hello, my name is Carol and I am Ryu's Mom. I am starting this gofundme for my Son to help him with ongoing and upcoming medical expenses, as well as monthly bills since he is unable to work at this time. I have been helping him the best I can, but also find myself missing alot of work so that I can care for him, so it has been getting difficult lately.

Ryu has been recently diagnosed with a type of blood cancer. It's called Burkitts Lymphoma.

Burkitts lymphoma is a type of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It’s a rare type of cancer that often starts in people’s organs like their bellies (abdomen) or spleens. This condition typically affects children and, less frequently, younger adults.

Immediate and intensive chemotherapy is needed to control and treat it. It is a very aggressive type of cancer.

In Ryu's case, one mass in his abdomen turned into three masses in just a matter of two weeks time. Before we had started the first round of chemo, a scan showed that it also had spread to his hip bone.

Ironically, although Burkitts is one of the most aggressive cancers, it is also one that possibly can be cured with intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment, which is what we are praying for.
