Hello, Friends!

We are proud to announce that our upcoming Spring concert will introduce a choral work we have commissioned from noted contemporary composer Rich Campbell. Entitled "Planet Earth Lullaby," the piece underscores the fragile state of our natural world and the importance of preserving it. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help us cover the commission fee and to support our upcoming 2025 concert season.

Our April 27 concert, For the Beauty of the Earth, celebrates the arrival of spring and explores the connections between nature, music, and the human condition. In addition to Mr. Campbell's new composition, the program features works by Schubert, Dvořák, and Elgar; a host of Renaissance favorites; and contemporary compositions by Frank Tichelli and Sarah Quartel.

This is where you come in. Commissioning new work is exciting, but it costs money and so does preparing and performing the diverse array of music we perform at all of our concerts. We need to pay for conductors, accompanists, guest artists, and sheet music, as well as rehearsal and performance spaces. Ticket sales and member dues only cover a portion of our expenses.

We hope you will consider making a tax-deductible contribution now to support both the premiere of "Planet Earth Lullaby" and our upcoming 2025 concert season.

We are grateful for the support we receive from the entire Glass Menagerie community and feel blessed to be able to perform for such a wonderful group of friends, family, and fans. As we celebrate the upcoming season of renewal, we also celebrate our joy in making music together and bringing it to you.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on April 27!

In the meantime, please visit the Listen page on our website to hear our April 28, 2024 performance of Rich Campbell's "Border."
