For the Family of Jessica Jacobsma (Lassiter)

Our family is heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Jessica Jacobsma (Lassiter). She was 37 years old.

The world seems a bit darker now without Jessica's brightly vibrant and colorful presence, and we are all still struggling to come to terms with this devastating loss. In addition to her parents, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, Jess leaves behind a loving husband, Joshua, as well as three incredible young children - Allison (12), Sawyer (10), and Elliott (3).

In addition to the emotional toll this has already taken, the family are now facing the ugly and significant financial challenges in covering the cost of Jess's funeral and other end-of-life expenses.

When Jess passed away, she had no life insurance, and little-to-no savings. There is no nest egg set aside for her husband or her children. I am hoping that we will be able to help alleviate some of the monetary burden with the help of kindness and generosity by some of the people who loved Jessica, and maybe even some who didn't know her at all.

I am setting the starting goal of this fundraiser at $25,000. The goal is to be able to help cover expenses of services and cremation, and any amount raised over what is needed to cover final expenses will go directly to the benefit of Josh, Allie, Sawyer, and Elliott as they prepare to move forward following the loss of their wife and mother.
