For the Kids of Sofia Bustillo

On October 20th, 2018, my beautiful baby sister, Sofia Bustillo, tragically and unexpectedly passed away at the age of 27 years old. She leaves behind three amazing babies, Alexander (age 5), Vanessa (age 4), and Leo (11 months).

Unfortunately, these children do not have the presence of their father in their lives due to addictions and demons that prevent him from taking an active role in their lives. This effectively leaves them without mother and father.

Fortunately, they are so loved and they have no shortage of family who will continue to care for them. As some of you may know, my father has stepped up to care for the children before and is stepping up to care for the children again. As a retired grandfather, this transition will be difficult for my dad and the kids, not only emotionally, but financially. We hope this will help to set up what is necessary to care for the children during this time and to help put away some funds for them.

As for Sofia, a viewing will be held in the coming days and will be for close family only. For all other friends and family,  A Celebration of Life will be planned likely for this week and we will update with more information as soon as we have more definitive plans.

If you would like send flowers, we ask that you use those funds for the kids in stead. If you would like to bring by some food, I know that would be very helpful for my family and for my dad, not only for this week, but beyond. Please reach out to me to arrange when might be best for this.

On behalf of my family, I would like to extend my greatest appreciation to those who have reached out to us and to all those who loved my sister. The world is a little less beautiful without her.
