For the love and recovery of Lana

Hello, my name is Lana. I am hosting this fund me page for a dear friend, Mimi. Mimi has always been a kind and well generous friend throughout the years I have known her. She takes after her beautiful, kind-hearted, and loving mother named Lana as well. Lana is the reason we are here today.

Mimi has been privately handling countless medical illnesses that her mother Lana has had, unfortunately, over the last few years.

Lana was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer from 2016 to 2019. During that period, she had to endure two major surgeries, chemotherapy, a mini-stroke and even shingles, while never complaining once through it all. Not to mention countless lab work and Dr. appointments to keep the disease away. Lana finally ended up in remission and then struggled with a min stroke Christmas 2021, which led her to spend two nights at the hospital and was also transfered out to a rehab facility to begin her road to recovery. She was doing well with her therapy to regain the strength to her right side, and everything was progressing nicely. Then Lana tested positive for Covid. It obviously set her back with all of the progress that she had made and all of the hard work she had put into getting better. Mimi feels that all of her mother's hard work had been a waste due to Covid. Knowing from Lana's courageous strength and faith, we know she's a fighter! She ended up going back into the hospital, where she is currently, because they may have thought she had another stroke. Gratefully this wasn't the case! She had just become weak due to Covid. She will return to rehab afterward.

Lana definitely deserves a break knowing this is all too much for her to handle at the moment! She takes whatever comes her way and continues to do so. Lana deserves to live out her golden years doing what she loves, cooking, baking, playing piano and living a beautiful life! She is the most selfless woman, always thinking of others before herself and never letting anyone see her suffer. She deserves so much better than what she has endured in the past few years.

Mimi has been her primary caregiver as her mom lives with her. Due to her mother's continuous care that she needs, it has been unfortunate for Mimi to work full time while her mother needs her right now. Lana has been her main focus for the past few years and currently. It has caused a financial hardship with the bills piling up, including the expensive rehab bills, and her insurance only covers a portion. The rehab is very crucial to regain her full recovery.

Mimi is very close with her mom and would do whatever it takes for her! She never asks for help and is a very private person. It has become to the point where she is very overwhelmed with stress and worry that she ended up with Covid and pneumonia herself. Mimi is overcoming and doing okay, but she needs help to keep her and her mother's heads above water.

All of the donations will be used for rehab and medical bills and help Mimi continue to care for her mother as she deserves. Her mother is her main focus as time is of the essence.
