For the Love of Erika brings smiles to children in need.

For the Love of Erika's mission is to bring smiles to children in need. This toy drive began in memory of Taylor Goodman-Leong’s friend, Erika, who lost her battle with brain cancer in 2005. Erika and Taylor had collected toys to bring some cheer to children in local hospitals. Unfortunately, Erika passed away before these deliveries could occur, and Taylor made it her mission to keep Erika’s giving spirit alive by forming thus non-profit. Since 2005, For the Love of Erika has collected, wrapped, and delivered more than $230,000 worth of gifts to children in various hospitals and shelters throughout New England. Additionally, we have held a couple of annual holiday parties for families from shelters and the DCF which provides a day of fun, food, activities, and presents.

After a four year hiatus, we are excited to be hosting our annual holiday party at Gibbet Hill, in Groton. We are collecting monetary donations for gifts for this party, along with gifts for the other local shelters and hospitals we support each holiday season. 100% of donations go directly to the gifts!
