Support Little Kacey’s Battle with Cancer

There are times in life when we are all faced with the impossible, and how we handle it speaks volumes about the type of people we are.  Our friends, Kevin and Angela are staring the impossible in the face and marching with more grace than I have ever seen, because there is no other option.   Their daughter has been diagnosed with cancer.  Their positive attitudes and love for their little girl are inspiring.   As two people who give so much of themselves, and never ask anything of anyone else, I'm asking for anyone and everyone who knows them or knows someone who knows them, to step up and lend a hand.   I've never known Kevin not to have a smile on his face, and I've known him a long time, so the thought that his heart is breaking, breaks my heart.   It's going to be a long and tough year for them financially and any help you can give is appreciated, beyond words.    It's like four brilliant men once said "I get by with a little help from my friends", so let's help them get by. This GoFundMe has been established to help little Kacey and her family as they travel back and forth to Vancouver for life-saving treatment in 2019. Kacey was diagnosed with (ERMS) Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma at 2.5 years old in July 2019. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare and aggressive form of cancer. It is treated with multi-drug chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Kacey will receive treatment at the B.C. Children’s Hospital. The 5 year survival rate is approximately 70%. The oncology team at the BC Children’s hospital expect Kacey’s treatment to take the better part of a year. Kacey will be staying at the Ronald Macdonald house with her mom. While her father and two siblings travel back and forth to kelowna for work and school. The family will need to fund extra travel expenses (so they can be together as much as possible through this difficult time), food and deal with a significant loss of income over the next year.
