For the Love of Kiko, to help with his ER bill

I know we are all thankful and respectful toward all animals and honor their integral place in this world, from playful companions to service animals helping people live independently…Kiko, our dog of 12 years, is no exception. He was brought into Jerry’s and my life with a purpose of completing the circle of love and companionship. In the last week, he has become ill mysteriously. He did suffer the loss of my husband, his human “ dad” and feline brother, Lucky, who also passed away within 2 months of each other’s expiration dates. Kiko had stopped eating his own food for a week now, and would only respond randomly to human food, his coordination more impaired, and seem suddenly hard of hearing and slightly vision impaired. He had lost 21 pounds in 3 months. Took him to the Emergency Hospital yesterday as he was “ out of it” and not acting like himself. The doctor ran significant tests which included blood work, x-ray and ultrasound. It was revealed that he has an ongoing kidney disease. Not yet fatal but needing immediate attention. He is being admitted at the animal hospital receiving the best care possible under a caring ER team. But urgent care based on triage has its cost. His ER bill is now close to Two Thousand Dollars. I have not worked in the last 8 months following my husband’s untimely death from stage 4 cancer but I do have some provisions for myself but not enough wiggle room for an event such as this.I will eventually rejoin the work force in a couple of months as planned and anticipated. I am advised by caring friends and family to seek help for Kiko here. So , I set up this Gofundme page for our him. Thank you so much , and I will continue to update everyone how Kiko is doing in the course of his treatment with loving attention and full disclosure. Yours Truly, Rosee ( aka Tootie), Kiko’s surviving “ human” mom
