For the love of Skivie Memorial Fund

We mournfully announce the passing of Televise "Skivie" Sa'u, better known as Unko Skivie, who was born on May 4, 1970 and embraced eternity on April 18, 2024. Known for his cool, calm, and collected demeanor, Skivie was a beacon of outgoing energy, loyalty, and had a heart made of platinum.

Skivie leaves behind his beloved wife, Christine Sa'u, 6 Children Alden Makana Sa'u, Shereen Malia Sa'u, Kori-Lin (Alex) Dremlyuga, Vika Kylor Sa'u, Omaha Televise Sa'u, Precious Toefiliga Sa'u; 3 grandchildren Caleb, Djournie, Vladimir and a grandson on the way along with a myriad of hearts he touched throughout his life. His infectious laughter and the effortless way he made people smile were among his most admirable traits. His natural inclination to treat everyone like family made him a cherished figure in the hearts of many. In a world often ridden with differences, Skivie was one who was loved by many, hated by few, and respected by all.

He imparted wisdom in a language relatable to all, with his life-long lessons being "No Squirreliez," which is a testament to his humor, and the importance of giving from the heart without expecting anything in return. These lessons remind us of the beautiful soul that Skivie was, and they will continue to guide us in his absence.

His legacy lies in his profound love, kindness and generosity that he consistently shared with others. His spirit lives on in every person he met, every life he brightened, and every heart he touched.

We will come together to celebrate the life of Skivie on June 28, 2024 beginning with a service at Norman's Mortuary from 8:00am to 11:45am with a burial to follow at 12:30pm at the Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku. The celebration will continue at 4:00pm until pau at the Cove Park in Kihei. This commemoration will provide an opportunity for loved ones to console each other and to relive the moments that made Skivie, Skivie.

As we mourn the loss of Skivie, we also celebrate a life lived to its fullest, a life that was overflowing with joy and love, and a life that was truly one of a kind.

We are just $2500 short as far as the mortuary and cemetery. We want to make sure that we give him a respectable service and burial. Your Kokua is needed to help this happen. There is no amount too big or too small. We hope that you find it in your hearts to help our family lay him to rest properly. In many cultures, the bones are sacred, which is why we stepped away from cremation. Also, when one is cremated, the bones don't burn, they become brittle and are then crushed and added to the ashes. After all he's been thru there is no way I want to add to the pain he's already had to endure. For the love of Skivie, please help us to achieve this goal and make June 28th a day to remember. Have a beautiful and blessed day.
