For Jack - the young son of murder victim Ju Zhang

In early 2021, young mother Ju Zhang was found dead in a tip in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Her boyfriend has been charged with her murder which is still before the courts.

She leaves behind devastated parents Renqun and Xioayou, along with a young primary

school-aged son.

Ju's parents travelled to Australia from China to help search for their missing daughter. It took months before her body was found and many more months before she was finally laid to rest.

They left their jobs in China and used all their savings on travel, funeral arrangements and continuing basic living expenses.

They are patiently waiting for justice for Ju whilst caring for their grandson. They are visitors to Australia, therefore unable to work and make an income.

They live very humbly, trying to stretch their limited finances, sacrificing the little creature comforts we take for granted - such as heating during winter.

We are members of a Chinese community in Melbourne and have a close friend in regular contact with Ju's parents and son. We chose to run this fundraiser for the family as we feel they have suffered such a tragic loss and should be able to mourn for their daughter without the added pressure of financial stress. We plan to visit them and surprise them with the funds raised on conclusion of the campaign.

Please assist with any donations, big or small, to help Renqun and Xioayou afford basic neccessities to live and care for their grandson and allow them to grieve the tragic loss of their only child without the added stress of financial hardship.
