As you may know, George Shanley lost a brief and overwhelming fight with Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer) on January 21, 2025. His passing leaves his wife and partner of 25 years (Laura) and their three children, a 17-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 5-year-old.

George’s passing was sudden and devastating, and his family is navigating this unimaginable loss. Laura has dedicated her life to her husband and family, pouring her energy into ensuring her kids are loved and cared for. As she faces this next chapter, she has to manage their future on her own while also carrying the weight of her grief.

In lieu of flowers for the wake, we're asking those who wish to support Laura and her family to consider contributing to this GoFundMe. Your donations will be transferred to a savings account for their children, to assist with future needs and life events.

George was a wonderful husband, father, and friend who loved his family deeply. He made sure they were cared and provided for; contributing to this fund for his children is one way we can honor his memory and the life he worked so hard to build for them.
