For Tim's Funeral

For those who don't know, my father passed away on Monday 3/13. He had Alzheimer's disease for the past 10 years and passed away due to related complications. My mother has been preparing for his funeral and I am trying to help with the expenses through this fundraiser. All donations would go towards helping with funeral costs which total to just under $16k.

Backstory:

When I was 9, my father was officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Because he was just 55, he fell into the early-onset category. As the years went by, we watched as he progressed from forgetfulness to confusion to being unable to accomplish basic tasks and eventually complete dependence. This resulted in my mother working as both a single mom and a caregiver for him while I was in school. All of this carried on until his final years when she could no longer give him the 24/7 care that he needed. We placed him in a nursing home in 2019 where we were able to visit him regularly.

Even though his passing was devastating for all of us, I cannot imagine the amount of pain he experienced while he was sick and unable to communicate. For that, I am just thankful he is finally in a place where he can rest pain-free. Even though he may not have been able to raise me all the way, he was the best father I could've asked for. We all loved him very much.
